Norse Springs

Plans are under way for the construction of Norse Springs, a unique waterfront villa perched over the sparkling blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, just east of San San Beach.

Situated on the main north coast (A4) highway, Norse Springs directly faces one of Jamaica’s most famous and photographed islands. Officially called Pellew Island, it’s also known by locals as Monkee Island or Princess Nina Agha Khan Island, named after the Anglo-Indian jetsetter of the 1950s who, as legend tells it, was given the island as a wedding gift from her husband, Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan.

The unique design of Norse Springs begins with a pergola that defines the entrance. A finished concrete and stone stairwell winds past a small, open spring-fed cistern that feeds waterfalls and leads to the landing entrance of the upper villa unit. The living and dining space is flexible for entertainment of family and friends, or quiet relaxation. It features a sleeping loft and a cantilevered balcony with views of the falls, an infinity spa below and Monkey Island. Doors open out, drawing in the sounds and scent of the sea. A beautiful master suite offers privacy and stylish amenities.

Further down the stone stairwell, past the infinity spa and waterfall, is the second villa unit, situated just 4 feet (1.2 m) from the sea at high tide. This lower villa also features balconies stretching over the water toward the stunning view of Monkey Island, along with a sleeping loft and a master suite that is equipped to double as an office away from home.

Norse Springs common areas will encompass the servant’s preparation area and storage. The wood pier, reaching out toward Monkee Island, will be highlighted with a partially covered deck – ideal for sunrise breakfasts, picnics and evening enjoyment. The Norse Springs pier will be a perfect launch site for kayaks and other watercraft, and for swimming and snorkeling adventures.

Norse Point

This romantic beach cottage is located next to the Norse Springs site. Norse Hill guests are granted reservation and rate preferences at Norse Point. Larger groups can reserve a combined, discounted booking of Norse Hill and Norse Point to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Norse Point is well appointed one-bedroom villa popularly known as “The Honeymoon Cottage.”
